Pipe fittings (elbows, tees, etc.) are crucial components used to change direction, branch, reduce diameter, or seal pipelines in a piping system.
Pipe fittings (elbows, tees, etc.) are crucial components used to change direction, branch, reduce diameter, or seal pipelines in a piping system. The primary rule for selection is to ensure their material, pressure rating, and standard (e.g., GB, ANSI, DIN) perfectly match the connecting pipes to avoid creating weak points. For anti-corrosion pipeline systems, pre-fabricated fittings with the same coating (e.g., 3PE, plastic coating) should be prioritized. If fittings require on-site anti-corrosion treatment, the process and materials must meet or exceed the corrosion protection standard of the pipeline itself; otherwise, the joints can easily become the first points of corrosion failure.
